Deeplocal creates inspiring moments for brands in the real and virtual worlds. We strategize, imagine, design and fabricate ambitious experiences from concept to execution. As part of WPP since 2017, Deeplocal brings an entirely unique modern and cultural approach to Brands.

Deeplocal is seeking a motion designer who can deliver beautiful motion design and breathtaking visuals. Whether your strength lies in 2D, 3D, or both, we're looking for someone with the creativity to bring ideas to life and the technical skill to execute them flawlessly. Our projects bridge the gap between physical and digital interaction; the ideal candidate for this role brings an understanding of how screen-based content can interact with physical objects in novel and beautiful ways.

This is a freelance position with potential for conversion to full-time in approximately 3 months.

This position may be a fit for you if:

  • You are someone who solves design challenges with cross-media interactive solutions.
  • You have experience in interdisciplinary teams in the creation of engaging and interactive digital storytelling.
  • You can handle multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines and self-directing your workload and priorities.
  • You are a creative problem solver and have a sense of ownership over the success of our projects and be a relied-upon team member when challenges arise.
  • You are aesthetically agile and can design for a variety of brands with different styles, tones, palettes, and voices.
  • You are self-motivated and strive for creative excellence by going above and beyond project asks and requirements.
  • A passion for innovation, eager to explore new techniques and technologies that push the limits of motion design.
  • You have 2-4 years experience, preferably in a creative agency or similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Concepting and Ideation - Bring a digital point of view and eye to early phase concepts
  • Visual and Motion Design Reference - Work with creative teams during concepting and pre-production phases to communicate to clients the role that digital content will have in a physical installation.
  • Design and Animation - Create high-quality, engaging motion graphics for a variety of applications, including digital installations, interactive experiences, and brand storytelling. Your work will bridge the gap between imagination and reality, bringing concepts to life through motion.
  • Creative Collaboration - Work closely with our team of designers, developers, and creative thinkers to conceptualize and deliver innovative solutions. Your ability to communicate visually will contribute to the collaborative development of projects from initial concept to final execution.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard software and tools (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Maya) to produce compelling animations. Familiarity with real-time visual development platforms (Unreal Engine, Unity) is a plus but not required.
  • Visual Storytelling - Leverage your skills in motion design to enhance narratives and provide audiences with unforgettable visual experiences. Your work will not only capture attention but also communicate messages in unique and impactful ways.

Desired Skills

  • Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D motion design, with a portfolio that showcases a wide range of styles and techniques.
  • Strong conceptual and visual communication skills, able to translate ideas into dynamic visual content.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver; flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to express your creative ideas through mockups, mood boards, styleframes, and motion prototypes.
  • A keen eye for detail, composition, color theory, and typography.
  • Prototype and express design/motion approach across 2D and/or 3D animation, interaction design, and visual effects. Familiarity or proficiency with Figma, After Effects, C4D, or similar programs

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
