As a Visual Designer with Deeplocal, you will combine your experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to bring graphic savvy to our interactive experiences. Our projects bridge the gap between physical and digital interaction; the ideal candidate for this role brings a fresh perspective of how visual storytelling through environmental, experiential, and print graphic design can be seamlessly integrated into physical experiences in novel and beautiful ways.

This is a freelance position with potential for conversion to full-time in approximately 3 months.

  • You can handle multiple projects simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines and self-directing your workload and priorities.
  • You are a creative problem solver and have a sense of ownership over the success of our projects and be a relied-upon team member when challenges arise. 
  • You are aesthetically agile and can design for a variety of brands with different styles, tones, palettes, and voices.
  • You are comfortable working under deadlines, and collaborating with cross functional teams, playing a part on a unified team. 
  • You have 2-4 years experience, preferably in a creative agency or similar environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creative Concepting - Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, and Creative Technologists to create concepts that are inventive, strategic, and create meaningful experiences for audiences. 
  • Support in Art Direction & Visual Design - Assist in the conceptualization and creation of on-brand visual elements, collaborating closely with the Art Direction team to develop compelling narratives within brand-driven spaces
  • Visual Asset Support  - Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to bring our client’s stories to life using communication design strategies, including presentations, graphics, documents, and screen assets.
  • Graphic Production - Follow design systems and champion best practices to produce production-ready designs for screens, print, and physical applications.

 

Desired Skills

  • Proven ability to apply and perform graphic design skills, including: drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, use of color palettes and texture, and visual presentation development.
  • Ability to work across graphic design realms: digital, print, and physical environments
  • Experience in brand identity creation and/or experience in the application of established guidelines
  • Illustrate conceptual development and design concepts through a variety of mediums, including hand sketches, mock-ups, and proof of concept sample art.
  • Ability to work across graphic scales, from small scale design details to wall murals
  • Prior experience in environmental graphic design and physical spaces a big plus
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise using graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general
